The measurement of paint skinning mainly includes two aspects, one is the skinning condition of the paint in the closed barrel, and the other is the speed of skinning during use after opening the barrel.
(1) Airtight test. Use a glass bottle with a screw top cover to fill 2/3 of the sample volume, screw the top cover tightly, and put it upside down in a dark place for regular inspection until the crust is formed. When testing, it is better to use a sample with known skinning properties as a control test at the same time.
(2) Open tank test. Samples were filled halfway to the depth of the tank, uncovered and observed frequently, until a skin formed. During the test, it is better to use a sample of known properties and store it with an open cover at the same time, so as to compare the crusting conditions of the two at different stages.
