Maintenance method of Brookfield viscometer in the United States
1. Make sure the instrument is used in a clean and dry working environment (dust-free, moderate temperature, low humidity, etc.).
2. Make sure the instrument is placed on a level workbench.
3. When performing operations, hands/fingers need to be clean and free from residual samples. Failure to do so may result in residue on the upper part of the shaft and may affect the connection between the rotor and the coupling head.
4. Make sure the rotor is removed from the instrument before cleaning. Note the left hand thread. Failure to remove the rotor may result in serious damage to the instrument.
5. When cleaning the rotor, do not use too much force to avoid bending the rotor.
Brookfield Viscometer Cleaning Tips
1. Cleaning of the instrument, key panel and display: When the key panel protector is not in use, clean it with a dry and soft cloth. Do not use solvents or dish soap to clean.
2. Cleaning of the instrument parts (rotor) immersed in the measurement sample: the rotor and the guard leg are made of stainless steel, and can be cleaned with non-abrasive cloth and a solvent suitable for the sample and non-corrosive to stainless steel.
