We have carefully studied how the instrument is actually held and used.
An important design factor for us is how easy it is to hold the instrument from the customer's perspective and how easy it is to press the measurement button, especially when the instrument is being tested for a longer period of time or multiple times throughout the day When measuring. We then incorporated this factor into the design.
What design techniques do you use to make the instrument comfortable to operate after a long period of use?
Because we believe that the ease of holding the instrument and the ease of pressing the measurement button will directly affect the comfort of the instrument, so we focus on the state of fingers holding the color difference timer, and then try to improve the grip of the instrument support method.
CR-10plus widens the finger placement area

When designing the instrument, we also widened the finger rest area so that the fingers can be comfortably placed regardless of the size of the hand or how the instrument is held.
Since the internal structure of the device prevented us from making a recessed part of the body, we had to increase the size of the upper part of the body to make a groove on the body for gripping.
Measuring instruments are often used by women, and since women have smaller hands, if the size of the body is increased, it will become difficult to operate and the user will become tired.
In order to minimize the increased size while improving the grip, we only increased the size by 0.5mm. We then made samples of various shapes, carefully studied these shapes and the type of users they corresponded to, and finally formed a better design solution.
