According to the purpose of the test, the electroplating test is divided into three categories: coating performance test, plating solution performance test and process performance test.
Coating performance tests include appearance decoration performance, corrosion resistance performance, coating surface physical properties and other tests, details are listed in Table 1-1.


The performance test of the plating solution includes the influence of the composition of the plating solution, the influence of the content of each component, the influence of impurities, the influence of additives, etc.
The influence of the composition of the plating solution includes the influence and selection of the main salt, conductive salt, antioxidant, pH buffer, complexing agent, etc., the comparison and selection of additives, the influence of impurities and the determination of exclusion methods, etc. All need to be screened and determined through experiments. Commonly used test items for bath performance are listed in Table 1-2.
The test of process performance includes the influence of process parameters, the influence of equipment, etc. Process parameters include temperature, pH value, cathode current density, anode current density, stirring, cathode movement, and the like. Equipment is mainly affected by power factors, or other specified facilities.
