Screening test is a non-destructive test that fully inspects the product. Its purpose is to select products with certain characteristics or eliminate early failure products to improve product reliability. During the manufacturing process of the product, due to material defects or process out of control, some products have so-called early defects or failures. If these defects or failures can be eliminated early, the reliability level of the product in actual use can be guaranteed.
The characteristics of the reliability screening test are:
① This kind of test is not a sampling, but a 100% test;
② This test can improve the overall reliability level of qualified products, but cannot improve the inherent reliability of the product, that is, it cannot improve the life of each product;
③The screening effect cannot be evaluated simply by the level of screening elimination rate. If the elimination rate is high, it may be that the product itself has serious defects in design, components, process, etc.
