Apiezon Grease: O-ring sealant
Apiezon O-Ring Grease has been used extensively as a sealant for many temperature and vacuum applications due to its versatility.
Apiezon O-ring sealants not only improve their sealing performance, but also make O-rings easier to install and remove. Apiezon greases are silicone-free, hydrocarbon-based products and are compatible with a wide range of O-ring materials including Viton, Silicone, Nitrile (greater than 30% nitrile content), Nylon, Polyurethane, Polyethylene and Polypropylene and they are also highly Creep resistance.
Due to their hydrocarbon formulations, Apiezon greases and oils are not compatible with EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), EPR (ethylene propylene diene rubber), good rubber and PVC.
All Apiezon greases have excellent vapor pressure characteristics which are an important factor for a variety of applications including film deposits as volatiles will not compromise the vacuum within the system or contaminate film deposits.
In addition, Apiezon products include Apiezon L, M and NO ring greases, all of which have very low vapor pressure and are suitable for ultra-high and high vacuum applications.
