Application brief
The Brookfield STT-100® Online Viscometer helps ensure proper viscosity in the tomato processing industry. STT-100®
It is designed for continuous, accurate and real-time measurement of tomato processing, which can reduce batch errors and ensure the quality consistency of subsequent products, such as puree, sauce and juice. It will replace the old manual method, providing more reliable and continuous process measurement.
Tomato processing plants, whether divisional or high-level, producers of tomato paste and seasonings may be our customers, including plants of various sizes, usually located in agricultural areas.
Problem Description
For many years, tomato processors have relied on traditional manual processes, including the use of Bostwick ramps to determine the viscosity of tomato products. However, traditional Bostwick methods lack scientific accuracy and reproducibility, and cannot be used automatically on-line in production lines.
Today's modern processing and shipping requirements call for the most sensitive in-line viscosity measurement equipment, ensuring automatic and real-time measurements. The repeatability of this process measurement can improve the yield of different grades of raw tomatoes, while meeting strict food industry standards as much as possible. Production managers in tomato processing plants need reliable viscosity measurements during cooking, thickening or blending.
solution
Brookfield STT-100® online viscometer can provide continuous and accurate monitoring and control in tomato processing plants. This maximizes the output of soups, dressings and other products while minimizing production losses.
Excellent measurement capabilities make the Brookfield STT-100® In-line Viscometer surpass the traditional manual and periodic testing methods that have been used for decades. Online viscometers provide a new way to replace previous inaccurate measurements, ensuring product consistency.
Brookfield STT-100® Online Viscometer:
Rapid detection of changes in tomato viscosity to ensure each product meets specifications Accurate, continuous monitoring and/or control of tomato purees, dressings, juices and other products, whether mixing, cooking
or with optional defined shear conditions during homogenization, batch-to-batch data can correlate well with specifications determined by R&D
Check if you need to use
Does yours process tomatoes into different soups, juices, sauces? Would you like to have a continuous, online real-time and consistent viscosity measurement?
If so, you can benefit from the installation of an STT-100® Inline Viscometer. A good time to install is out of season winter or early spring.
advantage
Saves labor by eliminating manual and discrete sampling Reduces product waste from over-intensive sampling Ensures consistent product quality with real-time measurement Reduces downtime and product waste due to batch errors Instantly measures and corrects for viscosity changes
Prevents the batch from being lost due to overprocessing Eliminates time wasted by manual measurement Allows for a smoother cooking, thickening, and blending process Eliminates operator error Handling of different grades of raw material
Provides real-time data accuracy and eliminates the effects of changes in temperature, pressure or flow Compatible with normal CIP procedures, cleaning like a section of pipeline
