Apiezon vacuum lubricants, greases and sealants are widely used in industry and scientific research. While our vacuum greases are best known for their use as O-ring sealants in high and ultra-high vacuum conditions, Apiezon vacuum lubricants and vacuum sealants are also suitable for a variety of applications over a wide temperature range:
low temperature
Apiezon N Grease is one of the most widely used vacuum sealants in cryogenic applications today. N Grease is specially formulated to be crack-free at low temperatures while being able to withstand frequent cycling between -273°C and + 30°C.
laboratory application
Synonymous with quality, Apiezon greases and Q compounds are commonly used in scientific instruments and general equipment in laboratories around the world. These applications require high precision and it is very important to choose a compatible product without creating contamination.
O-rings and seals
Apiezon Vacuum Grease has been used extensively for many years as an O-ring sealant and other sealing applications due to its excellent properties. These greases are available in different grades suitable for use in a variety of applications.
Vapor Booster Diffusion Pump
Apiezon AP201 is the specialist brand of vapor booster pump fluid so widely used that it has become the standard for this type of application. Buyers should be careful not to confuse the Apiezon AP201 with "201" imitations, which do not have the same performance characteristics. AP201 is superior to other hydraulic fluids because it achieves less pump downtime, long service life, ease of maintenance and reduced top fill.
Anti-etching
Apiezon Wax W or "Black Wax" is the most versatile sealing wax in the Apiezon product range. As an etch resistant material it is widely used in printed circuit board and component manufacturing in the electronics industry.
installation media
Apiezon sealing waxes are known the world over for their quality, consistency and versatility. The three types of sealing wax featured in this series are all good mounting media, and are widely used as temporary and permanent adhesives for mounting silicon wafers.
