First, prepare the equipment, scratches, brushes, tape, and test coated panels. According to the test coating, select the appropriate cutter head and install it on the cross-cutting device.
How to choose a knife head?
1) When the number of teeth is 11:
1mm knife tooth spacing is used for paint film thickness less than 50um (2mils);
2mm tooth pitch is used for paint film thickness between 50-125um (2-5mils).
2) When the number of teeth is 6
0-60um 1mm tooth spacing for hard substrates (metal);
0-60um 2mm tooth spacing for soft substrates (plastic);
61-120um 2mm tooth spacing for hard or soft substrates;
121-250um 3mm tooth spacing for hard or soft substrates.
Second, hold the handle of the scriber, point the cutter head vertically to the coating, swipe down vigorously, change the direction, and swipe down again to draw a cross.
Thirdly, stick the adhesive tape on the grid, and then tear it off quickly to observe the peeling off of the coating. The adhesion of the coating is judged according to different peeling conditions.
