BINDER oven cleaning and maintenance procedures

The operator needs to ensure that proper decontamination is performed if contamination of the room with hazardous substances occurs.

Disconnect the room from the power source before decontamination. Unplug the power plug.

Do not use which may cause hazards caused by reactions with components of the device or charging material. If in doubt about the suitability of cleaning products, please contact Binder Service.

You can use the following disinfectants:

For chemical disinfection, we recommend using the disinfectant spray Art. No. 1002-0022

Possible damage following the use of any caustic other disinfectants is excluded by Adhesives Ltd.

Appropriate personal safety controls are used with each decontamination method.

If the internal impurities are with biologically or chemically hazardous materials, there are three possible procedures , depending on the contamination type and charge material.

1. Drying and heating Oven, FD and feed can be hot air sterilized at 190°c/374°F for at least 30 minutes. All flammable items need to be removed from inside. With thermostats BD and BF it is possible to perform hot air disinfection at 100°C/212°F.

2. Spray the inner cavity with an appropriate disinfectant.

Before starting, the combustion chamber needs to be absolutely dry and ventilated, since explosive gases may form during the purge.

3.ED: The lumen part with strong deception taminated is removed by the engineer, or replaced if necessary. Sterilize components inside the cavity of a sterilizer or autoclave. You can also remove and sanitize racks

Disinfectant spray may cause eye damage from chemical burns if in contact with eyes. Follow directions and safety tips on the label on the disin-fectant spray bottle.

Recommended Precautions: For eye protection use tight-fitting goggles.

After using the disinfectant spray, allow the chamber to dry effectively and ventilate.
