The structure of the instrument
The instrument consists of a container (12) on a fixed pillar (2), a pressure screw (16), a paper sample clamp (4) and a pressure gauge (6). The upper part of the container is equipped with a vent valve (13) and a funnel. Adding water valve (1), distilled water is poured in the container from the water adding valve with funnel, overflow valve (11) and adjusting valve (10) are equipped with at the bottom of the container, in order to control water flow.
The paper sample clamp ring etc. are fixed on the support (3), and there is a hole with an area of 10cm² on the paper sample clamp ring and the air box (5). The air box is located under the paper sample clamp ring, and there are two joints on it, which are respectively connected with the exhaust pipe and the pressure gauge with rubber hoses. The base (9) under the instrument is the foundation of the entire instrument, and a level ( 7) Turn the two foot screws (8) to adjust the horizontal position of the instrument.
Operation Guide
1. Close the overflow valve and regulating valve;
2. Open the water filling valve and ventilation valve;
3. Fill the container with distilled water from the funnel;
4. Add distilled water to the pressure gauge (U-shaped glass tube) (6). When the horizontal plane on both sides reaches the zero position on the scale, if there is a gap, turn the screw (15) to make the zero position of the scale correctly align with the horizontal plane;
5. Close the water filling valve and ventilation valve;
6. Clamp the sample between the paper sample clamp ring and the air box;
7. Place a measuring cylinder under the mouth of the overflow pipe;
8. Open the overflow valve and turn the regulating valve to adjust the vacuum degree to 100 mm water column (or 200 mm water column). If the goal cannot be achieved, loosen the locking screw (14) to lift the overflow pipe until the vacuum degree is reached. 100 mm water column or 200 mm water column, lock the locking screw (14) after stabilization, or discharge the air in the overflow pipe.
9. Turn on the stopwatch, and the amount of water accumulated in the measuring cylinder within a certain period of time is the air permeability of the paper.
maintenance
1. It is necessary to ensure the flexible movement of the pressure screw, scale and other parts;
2. All valve plugs should be coated with vacuum sealing grease to ensure sealing and flexible rotation;
3. The instrument should be placed in a room with a temperature of 23±5°C and less dust;
4. In order to avoid other debris from depositing on the glass container, use distilled water in the pressure gauge and the container;
5. Do not use hardened rubber pads to test the air tightness of the instrument;
6. Keep the instrument clean when using it, and wipe the surface of the instrument with a soft fabric (soft cloth) without leaving traces of water spots.
