Install or replace the battery
A．install battery
When the "BAT" symbol is displayed on the lower left side of the LCD, please replace the battery. After this symbol is displayed, the whole machine can still work normally for about 2-3 hours.
1. See the exploded view of the replacement battery on the right.
2. Press the arrow "1" first, press the battery cover with your left thumb, and then press the arrow "2" with your right index finger to open the battery cover.
3. Take out the old battery and replace it with four new batteries. Be careful not to install the wrong polarity, and then put the battery cover back to ensure the normal waterproof function.
B. Electrode Care
1. Clean the electrode when not in use, store it in the protective cover and keep it moist.
2. Electrodes that have not been used for a long time can be soaked in Chinhydron pH4 calibration solution for 10 minutes before use.

Operation mode and key function description
A. Description of operating modes
The machine provides seven operating modes, which are described as follows:
1. Measurement mode: The mode used to measure redox potential and temperature.
2. Calibration mode: It is used to set the redox compensation potential value. The setting range is from –999 mV to +999mV.
3. Lock display mode: It is used to lock the display to facilitate the user to read the data.
4. Callback mode: It is used to call out the test data and date and time in the memory for viewing.
5. Storage mode: used to store test data (including date, time, absolute and relative redox potential, temperature) in memory for future reference.
6. Time and date setting mode: used to change or set a new time and date.
7. Clear mode.: It is used to clear 50 sets of memory data.
How to use Model 628N
A. Power on/off
1. [Power on]: When the power is off, press and hold "HOLD" for about 2~3 seconds to power on and enter the measurement mode.
2. [Shutdown]: When starting up, except in the lock display mode, press and hold "HOLD" for about 2~3 seconds to shut down or if the button is not used for more than 10 minutes, the machine will automatically shut down to save power.
3. When the battery power is lower than 3.5V, the machine will automatically shut down, and before shutting down, it will display "BATTERY TOO LOW" for three seconds to remind the user to replace the battery, so as to avoid incorrect measurements.
B. Time/Date Setting
1. 按住“MODE” 键超过 10 秒钟, 机器即会进入时间日期的设定模式.
2. 按 “HOLD” 键可以右移选择新设定的参数.
3. 按“MODE” 和 “SCROLL” 键可以增加或减少参数值.
4. 设定好以后按“STORE”约 2~3 秒离开时间日期的设定模式回到测量模式.
C. 相对氧化还原电位的校正
相对氧化还原电位只针对有需求的应用需要校正, 一般的测试并不需做此校正, 其校正的步骤如下。
1. 用蒸馏水将电极模块清洗干净并将电极部份放入标准液中.
2. 等读值稳定后, 按住 “MODE” 键约 2~3 秒钟, 机器即会进入相对氧化还原电位的校正模式, 并显示进入此模式时的氧化还原电位(如右图大字显示), 使用者可以直接输入相对氧化还原电位值.
3. 按“HOLD”键右移设定的抵补电位的位数(包含正负号).
4. 按 “MODE” 或 “SCROLL” 键去增加或减少参数值.
5. 按住 “STORE” 键 2 秒钟即完成校正并回到测量模式.
6. 按 “MODE” 键可以选择氧化还原电位的显示模式为绝对值或相对值.
注意: 当绝对氧化还原电位超过 ±1000 mV 时, 请勿进入此校正模式以免造成错误显示
D. 测量模式
1. 机器只要是在测量模式时, 将洗净的电极放入被测液中即可测得氧化还原电位和温度.
2. 按 “MODE” 键可以选择绝对氧化还原电位或相对氧化还原电位显示.
E. 锁定显示模式
1. 当氧化还原电位已经稳定时, 可以按 “HOLD” 键锁住显示以方便读取或储存.注意: 在锁定显示模式时是无法关机..
2. 再按一次 “HOLD” 键即可离开锁定显示模式回到测量模式.
F. 数据的储存
In the measurement display or lock mode, the user presses the [STORE] key for about 2-3 seconds, and the machine will display "SAVE" and the address of the memory (M11 in the following screen), which means that you have saved the data Saved successfully. G. Data callback
1. In the measurement mode, press and hold the "SCROLL" key for about 2-3 seconds to enter the comparison mode and display the last stored data (M12 in the figure).
2. Each time the “SCROLL” key is pressed again, the previous set of data will be displayed (M11 as shown in the figure).
3. After reading the data, just press and hold the "STORE" button for 2 seconds to leave the callback mode and return to the measurement mode.
H. Data erasure
1. Press and hold the "SCROLL" button for about 10 seconds, the machine will enter the clearing screen as shown below.
2. Press the "STORE" button, the machine will display "DATA CAEAR" and immediately clear all stored data (up to 50 groups).
3. Press the "SCROLL" key to return to the measurement mode immediately without clearing the data.
Electrode Replacement
A. Electrode Module Replacement
1. As shown in the right figure, first loosen the electrode fixing ring and take out the electrode head module.
2. Remove the old electrode module.
3. Align the new electrode module with the notch and install it.
4. Lock the electrode module with the electrode fixing ring to ensure waterproof and normal operation.
