Wire scraper cleaning operation

The cleaning of the wire scraper directly affects the subsequent coating operation. The wire scraper is usually in contact with a variety of raw materials during use, such as adhesives, inks, color pastes, etc. Therefore, after the wire scraper is used, the cleaning steps are very important. Generally speaking, it is necessary to choose the corresponding soluble solvent as the cleaning solution.

Wire scraper cleaning steps

The first step is to "wipe", use soft linen and lint fabrics to wipe off the excess paint on the wire scraper.

The second step is to "soak", immerse the wire scraper in a suitable cleaning solution (such as solvent, etc.), and soak for about 15 minutes or more.

The third step is to "dip", wipe the Steel Wire Drawdown Rod with soft linen or lint cloth, and soak it again if necessary.

Step 4 "Wipe" The rotary wiping method is more effective than wiping horizontally along the wire scraper.

Step 5 "Wash", if the detergent/ink is dry, try using a copper brush - the kind that cleans suede shoes.

Precautions:

It should be cleaned immediately after coating with a wire scraper, and it is more difficult to clean after a long time.

Do not use grinding cloths such as steel brushes or scouring cloths, which can easily cause damage to the wire winding, especially those thin-diameter Steel Wire Drawdown Rods.

If possible, you can use an ultrasonic bath for cleaning. Generally speaking, the effect of doing so is better and more significant.
