The surface defect of tinplate cold-rolled sheet is a common product quality problem in the production process of the plate. This paper analyzes the tinplate cold-rolled sheet surface defect detection, analysis and process improvement through the application of scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis. From the experimental results, it can be concluded that the banded defects appearing on the tinplate cold-rolled plate are mainly large-scale composite inclusions, and the large-scale composite slag inclusions are the product of the tundish slag and react with the mold powder compounded afterwards. By improving the tundish covering agent and optimizing the solution of the tundish, the problem of banded defects on the surface of the tinplate sheet is improved and optimized.
