Shore Hardness Tester classification

Shore Hardness Tester (rubber Hardness Tester) is widely used in the hardness determination of rubber and plastic. It has the characteristics of simple structure, convenient use, small size, light weight, and intuitive reading. It can be carried around for hand-held measurement, or it can be installed on the same type of fixed load stand produced by the supporting production for constant load measurement.

Classification

Shore Hardness Testers are mainly divided into three categories: Type A, Type C and Type D. Their measurement principle is exactly the same, the difference is that the size of the measuring needle is different.

Among them, the tip diameter of type A is 0.79mm,

Shore A Hardness Tester is used to measure the hardness of soft plastic, rubber, synthetic rubber, felt, leather, printing rubber roller;

The tip diameter of Type D is 0.2mm. That is, the radius is R0.1.

The Shore D Hardness Tester is used to measure the hardness of hard plastics and hard rubbers, such as thermoplastics, hard resins, floor materials, bowling balls, etc. It is especially suitable for on-site hardness measurement of rubber and plastic products.

The C-type stylus is a ball with a diameter of 5mm.

The Shore C Hardness Tester is used to measure soft materials such as foam materials and sponges.
