Paper tape abrasion test
Carried out on an RCA wear Tester. Using the professional paper tape of RCA company, under the pressure of the standard 175g weight, the paper tape evenly crosses the surface of the coating under test. The Recorder records a number every time the RCA paper tape travels 160 mm. Generally, the wear resistance index of the remaining uv layer is between 300 and 500 times.
The wear resistance of the coating refers to the detection data when the coating is completely worn to the bottom of the plastic.

Comparison of two detection methods
①The price of rubber and alcohol testing equipment is cheaper than that of RCA Tester.
②Daily consumption: paper tape is 190 yuan/reel, and each reel is 300m long and about 500 samples are detected, and the amount of alcohol and rubber is very small.
③Rubber plus alcohol test, the test result refers to the comprehensive performance of paint film wear resistance and alcohol resistance, which cannot accurately reflect its single wear resistance.
④ It is difficult to find out the corresponding relationship between the friction times of rubber and alcohol and the number of frictions of paper tape. Therefore, the detection method of rubber and alcohol cannot replace the detection of paper tape friction.
⑤ Tape friction testing is an internationally recognized general testing method. The operation is simple, the detection data is reliable, and the measured data has good repeatability. Almost all paint manufacturers and spraying manufacturers use paper tape testing instruments for testing.
