RCA paper tape is used as the wear medium of the paper tape wear Tester, and its quality directly affects the accuracy of the wear results. So how to properly store RCA paper tape.
Basically, the paper tape in the paper tape box and the white dry storage barrel (with a renewable desiccant inside) can be stored for about one year.
However, before the paper tape is installed on the RCA abrasion Tester, it is necessary to confirm whether the paper tape is stored in an environment with a relative humidity of 40% for a period of time, so that the moisture content of the paper tape can be kept balanced at a relative humidity of 40%. Before use, it needs to be stored in a white dry storage barrel for at least one night, and then installed on the testing machine for use after the moisture content of the paper tape is balanced.
Therefore, the desiccant in the white dry storage barrel must be kept in a blue state at all times (the desiccant in the plastic box that changes color can be dried and regenerated in a microwave oven; the desiccant in an aluminum box can be dried and regenerated in an oven), and a storage environment with a relative humidity of about 40% should be maintained .
The storage environment of the paper tape has a considerable relationship with the moisture content of the paper tape and the results of the wear resistance test. If the water content of the paper tape itself is higher (wetter), the number of times of the wear resistance test will be higher, relatively , if the moisture content of the paper tape itself is low (drier), the number of wear resistance tests will be lower.
Provide a suggestion for reference. At present, many users of RCA abrasion testing machines purchase the "Electronic Drying Oven" (humidity controllable) to control the relative humidity to about 40% and then store the paper tape in the Drying Oven. Take it out before use. Come out and install it on the RCA abrasion testing machine, so that it can have the same test conditions for the paper tape.
