1. Washing and drying of Ubbelohde viscometer:
The viscometer must be cleaned before use. Generally, it is washed repeatedly with a solvent that can dissolve the residue in the viscometer, then washed with alcohol or gasoline, and then washed with oleum or dipped in potassium dichromate lotion for 2-3 hours. Rinse with tap water, rinse with distilled water, put it in an oven, and heat it up to about 150°C, or put it upside down at natural temperature for several days, and evaporate it to dryness.
2. Oil loading: (except that Ubbelohde is poured directly from the refined tube)
Use a rubber ball with a small mouth (ear washing ball) or a syringe to connect the small glass tube to the fine tube, hold the viscometer with your left hand, and block the mouth of the thick tube with your index finger, turn the viscometer upside down, and put the long glass tube with capillary Stretch into the sample, pull the syringe, suck the sample to the second circle (make the liquid level tangent to the circle), and then stand it up. After the countercurrent is installed, clamp the latex tube with a clamp and put it on the tube that sucks the sample.

Put the viscometer with the sample installed on the shelf of the constant temperature tank (on the clip), adjust the capillary to the left, right, front and back vertically, keep the temperature at the measurement temperature for 10 minutes, start the measurement, and record the outflow time to the second circle , generally three times (remove the abnormal number) to take the average.
