The picture is a schematic diagram of the normal position of the dispersing disc in the container of the high-speed disc disperser, the relative , the height of the original feeding liquid level and the flow direction of the material during operation. The following dimensions are quite satisfactory in practical applications: Let the diameter of the dispersing disc be D, the diameter of the container is 2.5D~3.5D, and the height-to-diameter ratio of the container is about 1 (note: the height of the container < the lifting ) X0.5D). The bottom is flat and inclined, the inclination angle is about 5, and the bottom and the side wall of the container are transitioned at an arc angle . There should be no baffles and dead ends inside the container. During operation, the distance between the dispersing disc and the bottom ( center is 0.5D~1D, and the original feeding depth is 1D~2D.

Figure The correct position of the disc impeller and the optimum size of the mixing tank (indicated by the diameter D of the disc impeller)
The correct design of the container size and feeding amount will produce the following effects: under the correct operating conditions of the high-speed disc disperser , the rotation of the dispersing disc (the satisfactory peripheral speed is about 2700cm/s) will make the pigment slurry present a rolling circulation, No splash or surge, part of the dispersion disc should be visible in the circulation cavity. The shape of the vortex should be such that the pigment particles at the top of the slurry and on the surface close to the vortex spiral down to the bottom of the vortex before circulating once around the vessel.
