Application of RK Small Spreader in Spreader Starch Preparation

Wei Aifen and Wei Limin of Guangxi Mingyang Biochemical Co., Ltd. used RK small-scale coating machine for coating test to prepare coated starch coating film and study its performance in the paper "Preparation and Properties of Several Coating Starches".

Coated starch is a product produced by using renewable resources such as cassava, corn and potato as raw materials through physical, chemical and enzymatic denaturation methods. It has excellent application performance and is used as a coating adhesive in paper coating processing.

This paper studies and compares the basic properties of tapioca phosphate-coated starch, tapioca acetate-coated starch and tapioca hydroxypropyl-coated starch and their application performance in coating processing under the premise that the preparation cost is basically the same. The R&D and production of starch manufacturers and the application selection of coated processed paper enterprises provide reference.

In the coating test, it was carried out on a RK 303 small-scale coating machine, and the coating amount on one side was 14.5 g/m 2 .

Paper conclusion. The low-temperature rheological properties of cassava acetate-coated starch and cassava hydroxypropyl-coated starch pastes are basically the same, and both are relatively good; the low-temperature rheological properties of tapioca phosphate-coated starch pastes are poor.

Tapioca acetate-coated starch film has the highest bonding strength and better film-forming properties. It can obtain good coating strength in coating applications, improve surface strength and ink absorption performance, and tapioca hydroxypropyl- coated starch takes the second place. .
