Under the premise of the current emphasis on establishing a quality assurance system, coating testing is even more important. The testing of the coating product itself is mainly to examine the consistency of product quality. The performance of the paint is reflected by the coating film, and the focus of the test is the performance of the coating film. The performance of coatings during and after film formation is the basis for evaluating the quality of coating products, and is also the main content of evaluating coating quality.
The detection of coating film performance imitates the conditions of actual paint film preparation or application as much as possible, and most of them are carried out on the corresponding substrate, and the preparation process and quality of the test coating film on the substrate affect the test results. Therefore, in the national standards, there are detailed regulations on the performance of coatings, paint film preparation, construction performance, and paint film performance.
Countries around the world choose different paint testing methods and instruments, formulate their own standards for testing methods, and promulgate and implement them. For example, American ASTM standards, German DIN standards, and Japanese JIS standards have formulated a number of paint testing method standards. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has also formulated many testing methods, and recommends their implementation to various countries in order to achieve international standardization. my country has successively formulated and revised national standards and industry standards for paint testing methods, and promulgated and implemented them. Some of these standards are equivalent, equivalent or refer to ISO standards. In Volume 9 of "Chemical Industry Standards Compilation Coatings and Pigments" published by the Standardization Institute of the former Ministry of Chemical Industry in December 1991, the national standards, ministerial standards and professional standards of coating testing methods approved before June 1991 were compiled. There are 122 standards in total. Now with the development of products, there are also enterprise standard inspection methods, such as inspection methods for powder coatings, electrophoretic coatings and special coatings.
