Gas Detectors should be installed like this!

1. Selection of installation location of combustible Gas Detector

The installation location of the combustible Gas Detector needs to meet the requirements of the following aspects. First, it is close to the suspected leakage point of the combustible gas or the location to be detected; second, when the specific gravity of the combustible gas is smaller than that of air, the installation location of the combustible Gas Detector should be in the suspected leakage Above the point, the distance from the ceiling is not more than 30cm. When the specific gravity of combustible gas is greater than that of air, the installation position of the combustible Gas Detector should be below the suspected leak point, and the distance from the ground is not more than 30cm; the third is electromagnetic interference, and some combustible Gas Detectors are resistant to electromagnetic interference. The ability of the combustible Gas Detector is not strong, so when installing such a combustible Gas Detector, it should be far away from the source of electromagnetic interference.

2. Wiring

From the installation point of each combustible Gas Detector to the control room, select different cables according to the transmission signal mode; if it is a digital signal transmission mode, use a four-core wire to connect each installation point in series with the control room If it is an analog signal transmission, then each installation point needs a four-core cable to connect to the control room. If it is required by fire protection, an explosion-proof tube is also required.

3. Installation of combustible Gas Detector

According to the manufacturer's instructions, use the manufacturer's own fixed bracket to fix each combustible Gas Detector at the installation point, and at the same time connect the power line and signal line of the combustible Gas Detector according to the instructions. The wiring step must be strictly in accordance with the manufacturer. Otherwise, if it is wrongly connected, it will cause damage to the combustible Gas Detector during power-on test.

4. Power-on test of combustible Gas Detector

According to the manufacturer's instructions, power on the installed combustible Gas Detector and check the results to see if it is normal.

5. Communication test of combustible Gas Detector and control room

Check whether the reading of each combustible Gas Detector on the display screen of the control room is consistent with the reading of the combustible Gas Detector at the installation point, and changes synchronously. If it is normal, it means that the entire installation project has been successfully completed.
