This product is widely used to measure the viscous resistance and the absolute viscosity of various fluids such as oil, paint, plastic, food, medicine, adhesive, cosmetics, etc. When using, it is necessary to install and measure according to the requirements of the manual.

Install

1. Take out the chassis base and pillars from the packing box.Yueping NDJ-1 Rotary Viscometer Instruction Manual with Figure 2

2. Screw the three level adjustment feet into the screw holes of the base (Picture 1) .

3. Host installation:

a) Loosen the screws in the case and take out the host.   

b ) Unscrew the fixing button of the handle, insert the power cord into the groove of the chuck of (picture 2 l) .

c ) Insert the handle into the round hole at the bottom of the chuck groove (Figure 2 2).

d ) Tighten the handle fixing knob to clamp the handle, and keep the host basically level (Fig. 2 3) .

e ) Remove the rubber roll on the pointer locking lever and the yellow packaging roll at the lower end of the host (Picture 3).

Warning: Do not turn on the power before removing the above two items, otherwise the machine will be damaged!

f) Connect the power supply, adjust the level adjustment feet (Figure 4), so that the level bubble in the vial lives in the central circle (Figure 5).

1. Firstly, turn the protection frame to the right and install it on the lower end of the instrument.

2. Prepare the liquid to be measured and select a cylindrical container with a diameter ≥ 70mm.

3. Accurately control the temperature of the measured liquid according to the accuracy required by the measurement .

4. Estimate the approximate range of the viscosity of the liquid. Refer to the range table to select the rotor number, and turn the rotor left into the connecting screw (Figure 4). Then rotate the lifting knob (Figure 5) to lower the instrument slowly and gradually immerse it in the measuring liquid until the rotor liquid level mark and the liquid level are flat (Figure 4). Press the pointer lock lever, turn on the power switch (Picture 5), release the pointer lock lever, and make the rotor rotate in the liquid, generally run for 20 to 30 seconds, and wait for the pointer to stabilize. Press down the pointer lock lever to fix the reading, then turn off the motor, make the pointer stop within the range of the reading window (Figure 5), and read out the data directly. If the pointer is not in the reading window after the motor is turned off, continue to press the pointer locking lever, turn on and off the motor repeatedly, and make the pointer in the reading window. If 6 and 12 rpm are selected, the reading can be read directly without locking the pointer.

5. The reading pointer is generally between 30 and 90 divisions, otherwise the rotor number and speed can be changed to meet this requirement .

6. When the viscosity value of the liquid to be tested cannot be predicted, the viscosity value should be determined by changing the rotation speed sequence from small to large and rotating the speed change knob (picture 5) from slow to fast .

Coefficients and Error Correction

1. When measuring, multiply the indication value of the pointer on the dial by the coefficient value in the coefficient table to obtain the absolute viscosity value of the measuring liquid.

That is: η( mpa.s ) = k × α

k = coefficient

Precautions

1. This instrument is used at 10 ~ 30 ℃.

2. It is necessary to install a protective frame during the measurement, otherwise the measured viscosity will change due to the change of the diameter of the container.

3. When the rotor is installed and removed, the rotor connecting screw should be lifted up to avoid damage to the tip of the rotor shaft, and to prevent air bubbles from adhering to the rotor when immersed in liquid.

4. The instrument must not be placed sideways or upside down, especially when the rotor is installed.

5. After installing the rotor, do not turn on the machine without immersing in liquid.

6. After each use, carefully remove the rotor, clean it effectively, dry it with a hair dryer, and place it vertically on the rotor frame.

7. When carrying the instrument, the yellow packing sleeve and the leather roll locking pointer locking lever should be installed.

8. Directly measure the temperature of the liquid to be measured, do not use the temperature of the constant temperature bath to replace the temperature of the liquid to be measured.

9. In the test, the apparent viscosity of non-Newtonian liquid often changes due to factors such as shear rate and measurement time, which is normal and not an instrument failure.

10. Operate and use in strict accordance with the requirements for use.
