QNix ® 9500 Coating Thickness Gauge Features FAQ

Common problems of Nix QNix®9500 coating Thickness Gauge

1. What is the working principle of the limit value display?

If limit values are set, the integrated limit value display immediately shows any deviations: A red LED illuminates the probe for measurements that exceed the limits. A green LED shows that the measured value is within limits. It is not necessary to check for deviation by looking at the gage.

Applicable to QNix®9500 all-in-one model system only.

2. How to clean the QNix9500 display?

It is recommended to clean the probe and device with a damp cloth. The QNix® 9500 and standard probes are chemically resistant to acetone (except soft rubber parts such as keys and shock absorbing frame), nitro diluent and ethanol.

3. Does the measurement application and accuracy depend on the host of the handheld Thickness Gauge?

The measurement technology is housed in a fully digital probe. Therefore, the accuracy and authenticity of the measurement does not depend on the corresponding host of the handheld Thickness Gauge.

QNix® engineers have been choosing all-digital probes since the 3rd generation probes. Moreover, engineers have successfully developed very small digital probes.

Tip: All interchangeable standard probes of the modular system can be used with the QNix® 5500.
