How to keep the paint? How to transport it?

How is the paint kept?

(1) All kinds of paints and thinners are mostly flammable and explosive items. The warehouse where the paint is stored should strengthen the management of open flames, and there should be obvious signs such as "no fireworks" or "no fire", and corresponding fire-fighting equipment, such as foam fire extinguishers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, 1211 fire extinguishers and yellow sand.

(2) The paint warehouse should be dry, cool and ventilated to prevent sun exposure. The temperature in the warehouse is generally maintained at 18~25°C, and the relative humidity is 55%~75%.

(3) The paint packaging should be strictly sealed, and any leaks should be repaired in time. Paint Coatings & Thinning

(4) Paint is a volatile substance, which is easy to deteriorate over time. When using or selling, it should be out of the professional warehouse first, and then out of the warehouse after entering the warehouse. Do not backlog for too long to affect the quality. The general storage period should not exceed one year from the date of production (according to product standards or instructions). After long-term storage, if you find that the viscosity increases, the drying slows down, or there is turbidity and precipitation, you should add a solvent or drier in time to remedy it and use it up as soon as possible.

(5) When two-component and three-component paints are put into storage, special attention should be paid to the matching of components.

(6) All kinds of sandpaper should be placed in a proper place, avoiding high temperature and too dry places to prevent the sandpaper from being brittle. If it is placed in a humid place, it is easy to become soft and desanding.

(7) The brush should be placed in a cabinet with air circulation and dry temperature. It should be turned frequently in the sun to avoid mold and insects after the brush absorbs moisture and hair loss due to failure of the adhesive.

(8) After the paint is used, if there is any remaining paint and returned to the warehouse, the paint can should be tightly sealed to prevent air from entering and forming a skin. If crusts and coarse grains are found, filter through a 12o~18o day copper sieve before use.

(9) During the shipment of paint, it must be handled with care, and it must not be inverted or pressed heavily, and it must be handled in accordance with the "Interim Regulations on the Transportation of Dangerous Chemicals" and other relevant regulations.

(1o) Warehouse custodians should be familiar with paint-related knowledge and achieve "four understandings": understand paint performance, understand operating procedures, technological processes and quality standards, understand contraindications, and understand safe production. Warehouse custodians should frequently turn over the warehouse, count the quantity and quality of paint materials, and if they find improper storage and material deterioration, they should actively take measures to deal with them in a timely manner.

How is the paint shipped?

In order to prevent fire and container damage, the transportation of paint needs to have strict specific regulations and measures.

(1) The transportation of paint must be handled in accordance with the provisions of the Interim Regulations on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods. For long-distance transportation of coatings, the packaging of iron cans needs to be complete, and wooden boxes or wooden slats are used to isolate the iron cans to prevent iron cans from rubbing and colliding with iron cans or iron cans with other hard objects.

(2) When the paint is transported, it must not be mixed with other goods such as chemicals to avoid accidents caused by reactions between them.

(3) For short-distance transportation or mid-way unloading, keep away from fire sources and prevent moisture, rain and sunlight. It is necessary to advocate handling with care, and oppose wild inspection and loading and unloading. If the package is damaged, the package should be replaced in time, and on-site welding repair is strictly prohibited.

(4) Whether it is parked for transportation or in transit, it should be covered with tarpaulins and should not be exposed to sunlight. The scene should be well ventilated, and the porters are not allowed to carry fire.
