SISI type adhesion cross grid is designed and manufactured according to BS3962-6, GB4893.4-85 standard, which is convenient and simple. It is suitable for measuring the adhesion fastness of the paint film on the surface of the product with a thickness of less than 250mm to the substrate or the fastness of the combination of the primer and the top paint.
The adhesion scribe has four different scraper sizes, similar to a paint scribe with four different cutter heads integrated, the size chart is as follows:
Cut distance: 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm
Cut length: 20, 25, 30, 35MM
Number of cuts: 11
Specific test methods for paint adhesion
1. Sampling
1.1 Take representative samples according to the provisions of GB3186
1.2 Determination of paint thickness with a film thickness meter
2. Select the appropriate spacing guide groove
2.1 Put the 100-grid board on the test piece, with the text facing up
2.2 Select the guide groove according to the specified paint thickness.

3. Cross-cut test
3.1 Put the utility knife with the sharp blade on the test piece at an angle of 45°, hold the handle and pull it back. The strength is based on cutting to the substrate, but it cannot be pressed too deep into the substrate. Draw the corresponding Number of grids. Rotate the cross grid, cross 90° and draw again to form a cross grid.
3.2 Use a brush to brush 5 times horizontally and vertically along the diagonal direction.
3.3 Use a 75mm long piece of 3M610 adhesive tape (or other agreed model) to stick the center point on the incision, and the direction is parallel to a group of cutting lines. Use your fingers to work the tape into the coating. Tear off one end of the tape within 5 minutes, the tearing angle is close to 60°, and it is completed within 0.5~1 second.
4. Result evaluation
4.1 Grade evaluation is carried out according to GB/T9286-1988 (or ASTM D3002, ISO2409) standards.
