In the printing process, the ink passes through the transfer of the ink roller, the necessary emulsification of the dampening solution, the effect of printing pressure, and then transfers to the paper through the blanket. There are many changing factors in this process, and some failures are prone to occur. Therefore, the following points need to be paid attention to.
(1) There are many brands and models of inks, and they should be selected reasonably according to the products. For example, the hue, drying performance, and overprinting efficiency of various brands of ink are different, and they cannot be used indiscriminately.
(2) The viscosity of the ink will vary greatly due to the change of temperature. In spring and winter, the temperature is too low, and the ink cannot be used directly, and it needs to be adjusted properly.
(3) The ink in the ink fountain should be stirred frequently to prevent skinning and deinking.
(4) The addition of ink additives should be well known and targeted. In particular, the use of varnishes and adhesive removers should be controlled in an appropriate amount, and should not exceed 5%, otherwise it will cause greasy, dirty plates, faded and dull imprints, slow drying of printed products, and sticky backs and other faults.
(5) The control of the balance of ink and ink is a dynamic process, which should be observed frequently. The speed of the machine, the temperature, the size of the graphic area, the different types of paper, etc., will make the balance of ink and ink unstable. The operator should flexibly adjust the amount of water and ink according to the information reflected in the printed product.
Therefore, in our daily work, when we use ink, we should pay more attention to some details to reduce unnecessary failures.
