The Fangrui QBZY Surface Tensiometer has been adjusted before leaving the factory. Unless the instrument is used for a long time or has a large error, it generally does not need to be calibrated.
Surface tensiometer calibration method
1. Hang the hook and the platinum plate (platinum ring) and press the "tare" button to reset the displayed value;
2. Press the "calibration" button, and "CAL" will be displayed at this time; (at this time, the platinum plate/platinum ring and the small hook should be hung on it, and there is no need to take it down)
3. Hang the randomly configured 600mN ( 400mN /m) standard weight on the hook;
4. After stabilization (about 3-5 seconds), the nominal value of the standard weight will be displayed: 600mN/m (400mN/m). Wait for a while , and the calibration is completed after hearing a beep.
5. After each sample is tested, the platinum sheet needs to be cleaned before it can be used for the next test or placed in a special storage box.
6. Avoid contacting the platinum sheet with sharp objects during daily testing to prevent the surface of the platinum sheet from being scratched.
If the surface shape of the platinum sheet is slightly curved or deformed (in a little case), you can use a piece of white paper to find a solid piece by folding it in half.
Place the platinum piece in the middle of the paper on a solid horizontal surface (marble plane is recommended) and smooth it out with a little fingernail pressure. (Note that you are not scraping the platinum sheet with your fingernails on the paper at this time)
7. The effect achieved by the cleaning process of the platinum sheet is very important to the final data of the whole experiment. If the user is testing a water-based sample, generally the platinum sheet is rinsed with running water after the test is completed, and then placed on an alcohol lamp to burn. The test is an oily sample, rinse it with running water first, then soak it in diluted 40% to 60% hydrochloric acid for 30 minutes, or soak it in acetone solvent, rinse it after soaking, and then burn it on alcohol.
8. Platinum sheets are normal consumables and are not covered by the warranty of the instrument;
In order to ensure the accuracy of the data, it is recommended to replace one piece every 12 to 15 months.
Platinum plate accuracy correction
1. Turn on the constant temperature bath, control the twice distilled water and pure alcohol at 20°C±0.1°C respectively and fully stabilize them;
2. Press the "On/Off" button while holding down the "Tare" button, and release the "Tare" button when the display shows "rC";
3. The display shows "CX". At this time, XX is a number that changes cyclically from 1, 2, 3, and 4. When X is 3, press the "Tare" button, and the first number 3 will be locked. , the display shows "C 3 Y";
4. At this time, Y is also a cyclically changing number of 1, 2, 3, and 4. When YY is 1, press the "tare" button, and then
The second number 1 is locked, and the display shows "C 31 Z";
5. Z is a cyclically changing number of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Same as above, when the number 2 appears, press the "Tare" button, and the third number will appear 2 is locked;
6. The display will quickly display "C312" and then it will return to "C30". At this time, press the "Tare" button and it will return to "C0". Press the "Tare" button again, and the instrument will exit the setting state and automatically return to the calibration The state of the test in the program.
7. Test the 1# standard sample twice distilled water according to the normal operation mode, and press the "Mode" button after getting a stable value (should be within the range of 72.75±2), the display screen will flash once and a " "%", reminding that it is in the calibration state, and the test of 2# standard sample pure alcohol needs to be completed;
8. Remove the distilled water and add alcohol, keep the temperature constant, clean the platinum plate and burn it red before testing, and peel the skin in the middle ;
9. Get the stable value of alcohol (in the range of 22.3±1), press the "Mode" button, "OFF" is displayed, and the accuracy calibration is completed .
10. After restarting the machine, other samples can be tested. At this time, you can also retest the distilled water and alcohol used in the previous calibration to check the difference between before and after calibration.
Note: After entering the setting state, the number behind C cannot be changed at will, otherwise it will affect the normal use of the instrument.
If this happens, please use the "reset button" (red button inside the instrument) to restore the factory settings. (Restore factory settings need to be used when "OFF" is displayed) When returning to factory settings, it is necessary to re-calibrate before testing.
