How does Linshang LS200 Glass Laser Thickness Gauge read correctly?

There are two glass Thickness Gauges, LS200 and LS210, in the forest. LS210 is a digital display, while the LS200 glass laser Thickness Gauge is not a digital display, so the reading is relatively complicated. This article mainly introduces in detail how to read the glass laser Thickness Gauge correctly. ?
  Glass Laser Thickness Gauge LS200 is made by using the reflection principle of glass to laser. The light source adopts imported high-quality laser diode. The characteristics of high brightness, high directivity, high monochromaticity and high coherence of laser ensure the high precision of measurement .
  When in use, hold the two sides of the instrument with both hands, press the glass laser Thickness Gauge LS200 tightly on the surface of the glass to be tested, and press the "power switch" with the index finger of the right hand. The laser light on the back of the instrument irradiates the upper and lower surfaces of the glass, and the reflected light forms a light bar on the scale, as shown in the figure below:

A = 30mm, B = 25mm, C = 5mm, D = 0mm.

The thickness of the first layer of glass is C–D = 5mm,

The thickness of the second layer of glass is A - B = 5mm.

On the "air space thickness scale (AIR SPACE THICKNESS)", B=12mm, C=2.4mm,

The thickness of the intermediate air layer is B–C = 9.6mm.
