Influence of coating reflectivity on building exterior surface temperature

In the hot summer, the heat radiation of the sun often causes a high temperature on the outer surface of the building. Compared with ordinary coatings or buildings without heat-reflecting coatings, heat-reflecting coatings increase the reflection and reduce the The absorption of solar heat radiation by the building reduces the temperature of the building surface. The calculation of the external surface temperature mainly considers the long-wave radiation heat transfer between the coating surface and the atmosphere, the solar radiation heat gain, and the radiation heat transfer between the building's external surface and the ground. After the roof and exterior wall of the temporary color steel building are coated with heat-reflective coatings, the temperature  are shown in Figure 4-1

Effect of coating reflectivity on building exterior surface temperature with Figure 1

Figure 4-1 External surface temperature of temporary buildings in different directions

It can be seen from Figure  4-1  that after the heat-reflective coating is applied, the temperature of the outer surface of the temporary building in all directions decreases to varying degrees, and the temperature drop on the roof is the most obvious, with an average of  23.21 ° C. , and its cooling rate can reach up to  32.53 ℃. This is mainly due to the extremely high solar radiation intensity in the horizontal direction in hot summer , which is much higher than that in other orientations. The reduction of the external surface temperature is of great significance for reducing the indoor temperature of temporary buildings and reducing the energy consumption of temporary buildings. In addition, the use of heat- reflective coatings can effectively reduce the temperature of the outer surface of the building, reduce the temperature difference between the inside and outside , and help prolong its service life.
