1. Definition
It is generally defined as the ratio of the mass of the residue after the pigment particles pass through a sieve with a fixed aperture to the mass of the sample, expressed as a percentage . The determination of sieve residue is a general method for the determination of pigment particles.
2. Measurement method

(2) The operation is divided into wet sieving method and dry sieving method. Put a certain amount of pigment directly into the sieve, brush the pigment with a brush (wet sieve) or brush it off (dry sieve), leave the residue on the sieve, and weigh the residue.
