The advantages and disadvantages of baking paint are as follows:
(1) Compared with ordinary paint, baking varnish has the advantages of smooth and beautiful appearance, hard paint film, strong water resistance and high strength. It is not easy to be raw and sticky like oil-based paint.
(2) Compared with nitro paint, baking varnish is easy to operate, easy to construct, and is not affected by the weather. Generally, baking varnish can form a fairly thick paint film by spraying only 1~2 degrees, while nitro paint needs 5~ If the temperature is above 6 degrees, the complicated process of wax wiping and polishing must be carried out.
(3) The solvent in the baking varnish has a strong irritating odor. Unlike nitro paint, which can be constructed in the open air or in a spacious workshop, poisoning is prone to occur if the air in the baking varnish is not smooth. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen labor protection and explosion-proof and fire-proof measures.
(4) Baking paint should have a drying room with temperature control. The investment is large and the pollution is serious.
(5) The temperature control of the baking paint is quite strict. When the temperature is too high, it will cause disadvantages such as brittleness, loss of light, and discoloration of the paint film; when the temperature is too low, it will cause disadvantages such as softening of the paint film, poor water resistance, and low adhesion. To this end, the operator must constantly sum up experience and operate carefully.
