The steps of Colorimeter to measure food
1. Boot up
According to the instruction manual of each instrument, start the operation. The standard value of the instrument can be set as the tristimulus value of pure water, and the L*, a*, b* value of the internal target sample can be set at the same time. And set the measurement mode and comparison color difference mode.
2. Instrument calibration
The calibration methods and requirements of different brands and models may be different according to requirements .
3. Sample measurement
Once the instrument is calibrated, it is possible to place the sample in the cuvette of the multifunction kit, place the sample under the probe of the Colorimeter, and perform the measurement. The measurement can be repeated many times, and the test result will be the arithmetic mean of several results, and the measured value of the sample will be displayed on the display.
Precautions:
The instrument should be placed in a place with stable temperature, dryness and no vibration, avoiding the influence of high temperature, high humidity and a large amount of dust.
Do not touch the inside of the test head with your hands,
The Colorimeter measurement needs to repeat the measurement for the same sample more than 5 times.
Judgment of food color
In production, it is usually desired to control the color difference between the product color and the target color within a certain range, that is, it is hoped that the color of the food is closer to the desired color. When using a Colorimeter for measurement, users can judge the color cast of the product based on the measurement results.
