Since ink splashing is a very troublesome thing, people think a lot about how to prevent it. Intuitively, it seems that as long as the cause of Feimo is found, the right medicine can be prescribed to solve the problem. However, in fact, due to the limitation of conditions, they have not been able to achieve what they wished. For example, reducing the speed of the printing press is contradictory to the development of high-speed printing. Increasing the carbon black content in the ink formulation contradicts the rheology of the ink and so on.
It has been said that the charge is the main factor that causes the ink itself to fly, so if a conductive ink can be designed to completely lose its charge on a grounded printing machine, then of course the disadvantages of flying can be greatly overcome. However, this is also limited, because if the ink is made of conductive carbon black, it is not satisfactory because it is electrically conductive at rest.
Water-in-oil emulsified ink can greatly reduce the disadvantages of misting. It is very effective to contain 5% water in the emulsified ink, and the effect is better if there is more water.
Although the conductivity of water-in-oil emulsion inks is not much different from that of oil-based inks, the dielectric constant of the former is much larger. Because the dielectric constant of Yong is about 40 times larger than that of oil.
In addition, the particles of the emulsified ink expelled from the printing press have very little charge. Since the interface of the phase is changed, the Bailuo charge is obviously affected, so there is very little repulsion between the particles and the aggregate. In this way, the large Part of the discharged particles is carried back by the ink roller.
The rheological properties of emulsified inks made with general emulsifiers are not satisfactory and are not suitable for high-speed printing. If the emulsifier uses long-chain non-aromatic amines, the effect is better.
Adding polar substances such as anti-foam brake and water to the ink is effective in reducing the phenomenon of ink flying.
It is also effective to use alkyd resin, fatty acid or surfactant to prevent double division or reduce electrostatic resistance in ink silk, soap (swelling) amine salts (Bentonite-ammonium salts), ie organic bentonite, etc. in the ink.
In addition to finding some methods for internal causes, there are many examples of external causes, and most of them are mechanical methods, such as air filter devices, electronic suppressors and absorption devices. And these devices are widely used in many printing plants.
After the printing room is equipped with an air filter device, the phenomenon of ink splashing can be greatly improved.
