During storage and transportation, plastic packaging bags may be damaged due to static pressure or dynamic pressure. Therefore, it is necessary to test the compressive strength of plastic packaging bags. However, this test method should not be used when the contents are solid or have obvious protrusions.
(1) Test device

Figure 4-24 Schematic diagram of packaging bag compression test
1-upper pressure plate; 2-compression load; 3-sample bag; 4-lower pressure plate
The test device for the compressive strength of plastic packaging bags is shown in Figure 4-24. There are two pressure plates up and down. The sample bag is placed , and the load is placed on the upper part of the pressure plate. Compression load. The part of the pressure plate close to the surface of the sample bag should be smooth and flat so as not to scratch the sample bag. After placing the load, the pressure plate cannot be deformed and must always be kept in balance. The pressurization method can be a hammer type, a lever type, or an oil pressure type, but it needs to be loaded evenly and slowly, and it can be maintained for a certain period of time (usually 1min).
(2) Test method

Table 4-6 Total mass and compression load of packaging bags
The number of sample bags is at least 5. The specific test method is: first put the actual content or similar content into the sample bag, and heat seal according to the heat sealing process of the packaging bag. Then place the sample bag on the central position of the pressure plate, and load the sample bag evenly and slowly from the upper pressure plate. The compression load is determined according to the quality of the packaging bag, as shown in Table 4-6. During the test, the compressive load should be kept for 1 min, and observe whether the contents leak out or the sample bag is broken.
