It is very important to choose a good dispersing equipment, but it is related to many factors, such as product viscosity, volatilization, whether it is easy to clean, output, dispersion quality and so on.
Decentralized equipment can generally be divided into four categories,
Right now:
1. Low shear equipment (such as various kneaders, etc.)}
2. High-shear equipment (such as high-speed disperser - - high-speed stirring)

3. Ball mill (including sand mill, vertical, horizontal ball mill, etc.);

4. Roll mills (including single, two, three, five-roll mills, etc.).

From experience, although the dispersing equipment used in the ink (or coating) industry has been continuously improved, there are very few people who are really finalized and practical. At present, it seems that those used in the ink industry still mainly use three-roll machines (to disperse relatively thick and sticky slurry inks) and ball mills or sand mills (to produce relatively thin solvent inks and even thermosetting rotary offset printing inks). Although the vertical type of ball mill (commonly known as vertical ball mill in our country) has applications, it is still not popular because of certain defects. Today, because the production temperature of the vertical ball mill is relatively high, it is harmful to the quality of the ink (especially for heat-sensitive pigments), so high-quality ink is still produced by a three-roller machine.
We know that the dispersion process of ink is generally divided into two stages, the so-called pre-dispersion (using high-speed mixer, etc.) and dispersion (using high-shear machinery).
