During the construction of large lacquer, sometimes the paint liquid will flow and hang down. Severe run-off will result in no paint on the upper half and accumulated drapes on the lower half. Not only does it affect the appearance and finish, but it is also difficult to repair. The reasons and prevention methods are as follows:
(1) The construction is not careful, the reasoning is not thorough, and the paint solution is unevenly applied, especially at the vertical lines and patterns, which is prone to sagging. Therefore, during construction, the raw lacquer must be applied evenly and thoroughly, and the remaining paint at the moldings must be collected and leveled to prevent it from flowing.
(2) The paint liquid is applied too thickly and flows under the influence of gravity. The base oil is too tender, the consistency is not enough, and it is easy to sag. Therefore, when operating, it is necessary to apply evenly and brush frequently. When the paint becomes thick and sticky, and it is difficult to brush, then straighten it along the wood grain; Avoids sagging.
(3) Raw lacquer itself is difficult to dry, oily, or mixed with too much thinner, and encounters frost and wind during construction, which is most likely to cause sagging.
(4) The site temperature is high and the drying property of the paint liquid itself is poor, so that the paint liquid hangs down on the vertical surface and forms tear-like sags. Special attention should be paid to this point during construction.
