Your gloss meter and its tiles require annual calibration by a professional calibration service. This ensures that they are accurate, giving you complete confidence that your product is performing correctly and that the measurements are new, have the best available reference data, and comply with current industry standards.
What does the calibration process involve?
Assess the body condition and test its basic functions, using at least 8 gloss standards to investigate the repeatability, accuracy and linearity of the instrument.
Next, clean the optics and reference gloss tiles. Then calibrate at least 8 points across the entire measurement range for each angle and make fine adjustments as needed.
Your instrument's calibration date, internally stored calibration values, calibration references and certifications are updated. A report of the readings received is also provided so that any changes made during calibration can be tracked and accounted for in a fully traceable manner.
