What are the common stripping test applications and test standards?

peel test

Peel tests are performed between two substrates bonded together with an adhesive. These substrates can be flexible, or one can be flexible and the other rigid. The adhesive itself is usually in the form of a thin layer between two substrates, such as the adhesive on the underside of a piece of tape placed on a steel plate.

In general, the purpose of a peel test is to determine the bond strength of a material. This bond strength may be referred to as the "tack" of the material, as it is a measure of the resistance of the samples to separate from each other after the adhesive has been applied. This measurement can be used to determine if the adhesive has the required strength and if a different adhesive or bonding process needs to be used.
