Is the constant temperature and humidity Test Chamber suitable for the automotive industry?
PC equipment: Because the PXI slot is an extension of the PC side board, all system software needs to be started correctly every time the card is inserted.
In addition, some LXI instruments with modular design, such as the Agilent 34980A multipurpose power switch/precision measurement module, are suitable for "hot swapping" or card insertion when the switching power supply is turned on.
Driver software: When the PXI system software starts correctly again, the PC will identify the newly connected device according to the device search procedure and the high-low Temperature Test Chamber. This generally requires downloading and installing device driver software. But LXI doesn't need to do this: it uses a LAN connection, and there is no need to restart the PC when connecting or disconnecting an instrument.
As mentioned above, driver software limitations can cause problems and consume a lot of time. LXI standard application IVI-COM driver software can be more simple in various development and design work environments.
