What problems should be paid attention to when mixing latex paint?
(1) Carefully observe and study the color of the standard sample, and combine the basic self-vine process formula to understand the color tone range and pigment composition of the color paint to be prepared. The type and quantity of pigments required. After being aware of it, color matching is carried out on the production line.
(2) Correct selection of color packaging Since the color of the pigment often has a color head, it is easier to register the color by selecting a color (paste) with a suitable color head. For example, to match green color, yellow pigment with green head and blue pigment with yellow head should be used for color matching. , Use red pigment with yellow head and yellow pigment with red head to match, otherwise, the brightness of the color will be reduced.
(3) Under the premise of ensuring that the color meets the requirements, the varieties of the color matching industry selected should be as few as possible. Because the more kinds of pigments are added, the lower the lightness of the adjusted color, and the darker the color.
(4) Under good stirring, slowly add the coloring industry and carefully adjust the principle of first adjusting the depth and then adjusting the color tone. When you need to add several color pastes, add the larger amount first, and then add the smaller amount, so that you can easily find the color. The amount of additives added each time should be less than the estimated amount, especially when approaching the end of color matching, it should be carefully controlled to avoid excessive color.
(5) Note that as long as a small amount of complementary color is added, the color brightness can be weakened. Adding a small amount of black, gray, and self-color can greatly change the color tone. Therefore, care must be taken when adding to prevent overdosing.
(6) When the viscosity of the color poly is not much different from that of the latex paint, the two are easier to mix evenly. Therefore, when the viscosity of the color is too high, it can be diluted with ethylene glycol or water until the viscosity of the paint is similar. Reinvest.
(7) Color comparison is to compare the color of the latex paint being formulated with the dry paint film of the model or sample. The two are not to compare the color of their paint liquid in the container, nor to compare their wet paint films. s color. Note that the color of the dry film is slightly darker than that of the wet film to prevent excessive color matching.
(8) When comparing colors, pay attention to the fact that the backgrounds of the bottom plates of the two paint films should be consistent. It is recommended to apply the two kinds of paints to be compared with the same film maker on the same bottom plate, and compare the colors after the paint film is completely dry.
How to check and analyze the uniformity of vine shade after toning?
After the color matching work of latex paint is completed, the uniformity of paint film color should be checked. If the color of the paint film is uneven, the consequences are: there will be differences in the color of the paint film applied by different people, or the color of the paint film will be different due to uneven force or different finishing tools used by the same applicator. This phenomenon means that the "color" item of latex paint has quality problems. The inspection and analysis methods are as follows:
Spread the latex paint on the sample board. After a few minutes, before the paint film is dry, use your fingers to grind part of the paint film. If the color of the ground part is darker than that of the unground part, the problem is caused by the color paste. Packed Yanke has coagulation or poor dispersion. If the ground color appears lighter, the pigments in the base white paint are not well dispersed.
When manually color matching, how to correctly compare the color of the sample?
There is a national standard for daylight colorimetry under natural sunlight, standard number GB3181. According to this standard, the incident angle of natural sunlight used in colorimetry is about 45°. Natural daylight uses diffuse daylight, the light of a partly cloudy northern sky. Around the colorimetric field of view, no objects with strong colors are allowed to reflect light (such as the reflected light of red brick walls, green trees, etc.). The illuminance of the colorimetric position should be uniform, not less than 1000lx, and direct sunlight should not be used.
When comparing colors, place the sample plate to be tested and the target sample horizontally side by side, and make the corresponding sides contact each other or overlap a certain area. The distance between the eyes and the sample plate is about 500mm, and the observation line of sight is nearly perpendicular to the surface of the sample plate. In order to improve the accuracy of color comparison, the position of the sample plate to be sampled and the target sample plate should be exchanged from time to time during color comparison.
Observers need to be served by people without color vision defects. If the observer performs continuous colorimetry, he should rest intermittently for several minutes to ensure the quality of visual colorimetry, and should not look at the special sample plate when resting. In order to eliminate the effect of the eye fatigue of the observer, do not immediately carry out the color comparison of the light-colored sample plate after the color comparison of the strong-colored sample plate.
Advantages and disadvantages of artificial color matching?
Artificial color matching means that people guide the paint color matching work through eye observation and experience. This is a color matching method commonly used by most paint factories in my country. Human eyes are very reliable, more reliable than instruments (such as Colorimeters); human eyes are very sensitive to color perception, and can detect slight differences; artificial color matching is relatively simple and economical, and does not require expensive instruments; The difference between batch numbers of base paint or color paste is not too demanding. This is the advantage of artificial color matching.
However, artificial color matching also has major defects. First of all, an experienced color matching personnel is needed. He not only has no color perception defects, but actually requires him to have a color perception genius and a good professionalism. Even so, it will still be affected by the operator's complex and health factors. It is inevitable that there will be differences in color perception among color matching personnel, and sometimes it is difficult to unify opinions. It is relatively slow, which will become an Achilles' heel for large factories with heavy color matching tasks, and it is also impossible to achieve fast color matching in chain sales stores.
Note: Both suppliers and suppliers in the market sometimes use the Color Chart as a negotiation standard to better explain the color conditions.
