What is the difference between a walk-in Test Chamber and a bench Test Chamber?

The walk-in Test Chamber is specifically designed to temperature and humidity test products and materials to ensure they meet certified safety and performance requirements. The walk-in Test Chambers are designed in different sizes along with the necessary features that are necessary to test the heat resistance, cooling, humidity resistance of your development for safety and performance. Walk-in testing chambers come in different sizes, from small chambers that can fit on top of a desk to large room-sized chambers.

However, bench top Test Chambers (also known as small environmental Test Chambers) look and behave very differently than walk-in Test Chambers. Benchtop Test Chambers are ideal for humidity and temperature testing of products and materials to ensure adequate performance and safety. The walk-in Test Chamber serves the same purpose as the bench-top Test Chamber, which is to test the ability of products and materials by subjecting them to different temperature conditions for comprehensive evaluation. Benchtop Test Chambers are very portable and small, so tests can be easily performed in a small space. As the name suggests, benchtop Test Chambers can be easily installed on a bench or table.

What are walk-in Test Chambers and bench-top Test Chambers used for?

The walk-in constant temperature and Humidity Chamber is designed for testing the heat resistance, cold resistance, dry and wet ability of products and materials. The walk-in Test Chamber has quality functions and controls suitable for effectively testing products under any conditions. Walk-in Test Chambers are available in a variety of sizes for testing of objects large and small. For large room walk-in Test Chambers, products and materials can also be batch tested at the same time, which is beneficial to the manufacturing industry. The walk-in Test Chamber can excite temperatures from -60°C to 90°C during testing, which may vary depending on machine capabilities.

Testing products with a walk-in Test Chamber is similar to a bench-top Test Chamber in terms of machine testing capabilities. However, for products and materials, benchtop Test Chambers are not suitable for large-scale product testing.

Types of tests performed in walk-in and bench Test Chambers

Walk-in Test Chambers are used for testing products that require a large Test Chamber. For small products, batch testing can be carried out in a walk-in Test Chamber. Benchtop Test Chambers are suitable for testing small products due to their portability and small design size. However, when it comes to the types of tests that both walk-in and bench-top Testers can perform, it includes:

  • storage test

  • altitude test

  • vibration test

  • Temperature and Humidity Test

  • Salt spray and salt forging tests

  • ETC

The walk-in Test Chamber meets the need for climatic testing of complex and large devices that are difficult to test with other testing machines. Walk-in Test Chambers and bench-top Test Chambers feature superior technology that effectively facilitates the testing process of your products.

Features of walk-in Test Chambers and bench-top Test Chambers

Both walk-in and bench-top Test Chambers stimulate different climates and environments to assess product safety and quality. The walk-in and bench-top Test Chambers are equipped with effective technical components and are ideal for temperature and relative humidity product testing.
