How to recover the sample after the constant temperature and Humidity Chamber test?

The constant temperature and Humidity Chamber is used to determine the adaptability of products and materials for storage and use under low temperature environmental conditions caused by temperature cycle changes. For the recovery of samples after the test in the constant temperature and humidity Test Chamber, the room temperature test sample is placed in a Test Chamber that meets the temperature specified in the relevant specifications, and the Test Chamber meets the severity level. After the sample reaches temperature stabilization, it is exposed to that condition for the specified duration.

Due to the increasing use of constant temperature and Humidity Chambers, some manufacturers do not understand some problems when they try the equipment for the first time. Let us introduce you how to recover the tested samples in the constant temperature and Humidity Chamber.

The work to be done after the constant temperature and humidity Test Chamber test: intermediate inspection, recycling, final inspection, and the information given in the relevant specifications are as follows.

1. Intermediate detection in constant temperature and Humidity Chamber

Relevant specifications may recommend that test samples be left in a constant temperature and Humidity Chamber for testing during or at the end of a condition test. If such testing is required, the relevant specification should specify what is to be tested and when these measurements will be completed. When testing, the test sample should not be removed from the chamber.

2. Recovery in constant temperature and Humidity Chamber

Relevant specifications stipulate whether the samples after the test should be recovered under standard atmospheric conditions or under specific conditions. If it is necessary to recover the sample under specific conditions, the sample should be moved to another constant temperature and humidity room or still in the original test room. If samples need to be transferred to another Test Chamber for recovery, the time to transfer samples should be as short as possible. If it is left in the chamber for recycling, the relative humidity should drop to 73% to 77%. Then adjust the temperature to the laboratory temperature within 0.5h with a temperature tolerance of +1K. According to relevant specifications, the recovery time should be calculated from the time when the recovery conditions are met.

3. Final inspection in constant temperature and Humidity Chamber

According to the relevant specifications, test the appearance of the test sample, and test its electrical and mechanical properties.

4. Information provided in the relevant specifications of the constant temperature and Humidity Chamber

When this test method is adopted in relevant specifications, specific provisions shall be made on the following items:

a. Install test samples;

b. Severity and duration of test: temperature, relative humidity, duration;

c. Preliminary inspection;

d. Conditional inspection;

e. Intermediate inspection;

f. to recover;

g. Final inspection.

1. Test samples should be recovered under standard atmospheric conditions until thawed.

2. In order to remove water droplets, please shake the test sample by hand, or blow air for a short time at room temperature.

3. When the test sample is recovered under standard atmospheric conditions, the recovery time should be sufficient for the temperature to stabilize, at least 1h. When multiple samples are tested simultaneously and a recovery time of 1 h is sufficient, the longest recovery time is 2 h, which means that all measurements need to be completed before this time.

4. If required by the relevant specifications, the test sample should be energized or loaded during the recovery period, and its performance should be continuously measured.

5. When the standard atmospheric conditions are not suitable for the test samples, other recovery conditions can be specified in the relevant specifications.
