Determination of halogen content in flux

According to the requirements of the standard GB/T 9491-2021 "Flux for soldering", the quantitative analysis method for the halogen content in the flux is volumetric titration. It is recommended to use ZDJ-5B automatic titrator for the determination of halogen content in flux.

Recommended configuration:

Leici ZDJ-5B Automatic Titrator

Recommended electrodes:

Lei magnetic 981121 silver electrode

Leici 217-01 double salt bridge reference electrode (outer filling liquid is saturated KNO3 solution)

Reagent:

0.01mol/L silver nitrate standard titration solution

Standard sodium chloride (preparation of 0.01 mol/L chloride ion standard solution)

Isopropanol

sample:

flux

Sample titration:

Weigh 0.5000g-1.0000g sample and put it into a titration cup, add 20mL of isopropanol, heat and stir in a 75°C Water Bath until completely dissolved, then add 30mL of isopropanol after cooling. Put the titration cup on the ZDJ-5B automatic titrator, start stirring, start titration after about 1min, the instrument automatically determines the end point and records the consumed volume.
