Artificial accelerated aging test and applicable standards

In order to simulate various climatic factors in nature, so as to create the so-called artificial climate in the laboratory and achieve the purpose of accelerated testing, artificial accelerated aging test equipment, namely artificial aging machine, has been developed. Artificial aging machines have been widely used.

The light sources used in the artificial aging machine mainly include ultraviolet carbon arc lamps, sunlight carbon arc lamps, dense (arc) lamps and fluorescent ultraviolet lamps. Sleeping (arc) lamps are widely used in the world, and the corresponding standards are ISO 11341, ASTM G26 and GB/T 11189.

The Accelerated Weathering Tester is compact and can be used with common electrical outlets. It has 8 fluorescent UV lamps, 4 of which are arranged in two rows to provide uniform UV to the fixed test panel. The bottom tank is heated to generate steam, which condenses into water droplets on the test panel. The introduction of oxygen makes the condensate saturated with dissolved oxygen and therefore highly corrosive. The equipment meets the requirements of ISO 4892, ASTM G53 and other standards.
