Corrosion chambers can be fitted with relative humidity sensors. Calibration is not required as calibration is not used during salt spray testing.

Equipment should also be calibrated before use, which may include the following:
Portable pH meters, use certified buffer solutions and calibrate according to the manufacturer's instructions. The pH of the first solution was 4.01 and the pH of the second solution was 7.01.
