Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in various combat systems, submarines, drones, aerospace vehicles and other military equipment. For military lithium-ion batteries, the performance requirements are higher than those of general life batteries, and they need to undergo better and strict quality testing before they can be used in the military.
SJ 20941-2005 "General Specifications for Lithium-ion Batteries" stipulates the general requirements, quality assurance regulations and delivery preparations for military carp-ion battery cells. Through the standards, we know that lithium-ion batteries need to undergo various tests such as normal temperature/high-low temperature discharge capacity, charge retention capacity, cycle life, fast charging capacity, environment, and safety to ensure quality.
In this issue, we mainly share the environmental testing and testing instrument scheme for lithium-ion batteries. According to the SJ 20941-2005 standard, the environmental tests of lithium-ion batteries include temperature shock, low air pressure, mechanical shock, vibration, and drop tests.
Temperature shock test: cycle test between -40°C low temperature and 70°C high temperature, and carry out four cycle experiments.
Low air pressure: Put it in a vacuum Drying Oven to gradually extract air, reduce the air pressure in the Drying Oven to observe its performance.
Mechanical shock: a relatively simple test method, that is, using an impact testing machine with an impact acceleration of (392±10%) m/s2, the continuous test can be carried out at a time of 6ms±2ms.
Vibration: Vibration is to fix the lithium battery on the vibration table, and then perform sinusoidal vibration with an amplitude of 0.76mm, and the vibration frequency is between 10Hz and 55Hz.
Drop: The battery is dropped freely from a height of 110cm by mechanical means.
