Precautions for repair of self-drying paint for bus repair

The following should be paid attention to when repairing with self-drying paint:

When repairing ordinary passenger cars with alkyd paint, use this color alkyd enamel paint to repair, and do not use alkyd blended paint to repair, in case the alkyd blended paint takes a long time to level and cause the paint film to flow and affect the repair quality. Do not use nitro-lacquer or polyurethane paint when repairing alkyd paint buses, in case the strong solvent in the paint bites the original paint and forms wrinkles.

When repairing the ribbon of alkyd paint, it is recommended to cover other parts with paper tape instead of transparent polyester tape because the alkyd paint takes a long time to dry and the adhesion of the paint film is average, so it is easy to stick the touch-up paint off when the tape is removed resulting in rework. Alkyd paints have good leveling properties, and the area of the repaired part is usually small, so the air pressure during respraying should be smaller, and the spraying distance should be farther away, in case the spraying air pressure is too large or the spraying distance is too close. The jet is too high to cause running or sagging. When repairing nitro paint, the freshness of spraying should be appropriately low. For repairs in summer, due to the high temperature, the reduction rate can be adjusted to 14-16 seconds (paint-4 cups of viscometer), in case the viscosity is too large and respraying The resulting paint film produces rough orange streaks.

When re-spraying nitro enamel, you should choose a dry and cool place for spraying, and you should not spray it under the hot sun to prevent the solvent in the paint volatilizing rapidly and causing bubbles. When re-spraying alkyd topcoat, because the paint dries slowly, the surface is easy to be stained with floating dust (floating dust in the air). In order to prevent the paint film be re-sprayed in the sun to make the paint film dry on the surface as soon as possible. , to avoid contamination with impurities. When repairing the viscosity of alkyd paint, use x-6 alkyd paint thinner or 7:3 mixed solvent of 200# gasoline and xylene instead of 200# gasoline to prevent poor solvency from affecting the repair quality.
