My Opinion on the Selection of Laboratory Dry Heat Sterilizer

Laboratory dry heat sterilizers are commonly used equipment for sterilizing laboratory utensils and materials.

The selection of laboratory dry heat sterilizer is shown in Figure 1

When choosing a laboratory dry heat sterilizer, you need to pay attention to the following points and precautions.

Selection points

Temperature Range: Choose the temperature range that suits your experimental needs. The temperature range of laboratory dry heat sterilizers is usually between 150 and 300 degrees Celsius.

Control method: Choose the control method that suits your experimental needs. Some laboratory dry heat sterilizers can be controlled through a touch screen or computer, while other models may only have simple mechanical controls.

Capacity: Choose the capacity that suits your experimental needs. Laboratory dry heat sterilizers typically range in capacity from tens to hundreds of liters, although some larger models may also offer greater capacities.

Safety: Choose a laboratory dry heat sterilizer with good safety performance. In particular, the over-temperature protection and overload protection functions of the equipment need to be considered to avoid overheating or damage to the equipment.

Uniformity: Choose a laboratory dry heat sterilizer with good uniformity properties to ensure that samples are treated uniformly throughout the sterilization process.

Precautions

Maintenance: Laboratory dry heat sterilizers require regular maintenance and cleaning to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. When cleaning equipment, use appropriate cleaning agents and follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.

Calibration: To ensure the temperature control accuracy of laboratory dry heat sterilizers, regular calibration is required. Calibration can be performed by the device manufacturer or by a third-party laboratory.

Environment: When selecting a laboratory dry heat sterilizer, the environment in which the equipment will be located needs to be considered. If the equipment is placed in a humid or easily polluted environment, corresponding measures need to be taken to avoid damage to the equipment or affect the experimental results.

Instructions for use: When using a laboratory dry heat sterilizer, it is necessary to follow the instructions of the equipment manufacturer, especially pay attention to safety matters during operation.

Quality Assurance: Choose a laboratory dry heat sterilizer with good quality assurance, usually with a longer lifespan and better performance
