Cardboard - Determination of ring compressive strength

The determination method is as follows:

  1. Prepare the sample: cut a circular sample of a certain size from the cardboard.

  2. Place the sample on the pressure plates of the ring compression testing machine so that the sample is placed between the two pressure plates.

  3. At the beginning of the test, the ring compression testing machine starts to apply pressure, and gradually increases the pressure until the sample is compressed to a certain height.

  4. The compression height of the sample is measured, and the ring compressive strength is calculated according to the geometric size of the sample and the size of the pressure.

  5. Repeat the above steps, take multiple samples for testing, and calculate the average value.
